Second appointment at the Arci Eutopia with the new cycle, -Dialektos-, an exhibition dedicated to the discovery and celebration of the dialect through the most varied expressive forms. The one in the program is a journey in the "mother tongue", not only that typical of Salento, but also those that color the way of thinking of other territories, to be investigated in its phenomenology and in its daily flowering but also in its origin, with the awareness that what we talk about every day is a noble idiom of great descendants.
The company interprets some songs from the oral tradition on the Passion of Christ
La Matinata (La Venerdia Matina) is a song that narrates the suffering of the Madonna for the sufferings of her son Jesus.
Lu Santu Lazzaru: It is a song performed in dialect, its narration is centered on some facts that precede the crucifixion of Christ, with the final request of gifts and reward on the part of those who interpret it;
I Passiùna tu Cristù (THE PASSION OF CHRIST) singing in the Grika language, sung by two singers, the unfolding of the narration is accompanied by an accordion; in addition to music and text composed of about 66 stanzas, gestures and mimics are an integral part in the interpretation of the same; The Passion tells of the life and pains suffered by Christ, the suffering of the mother at the loss of her beloved child.
The show is articulated in various moments, accompanied by music, by the intense verses of the song, in a collected, serene atmosphere of devotion and tradition of our land.
