The dangeroots band is a musical project strongly committed to the themes in defense of the territory, of its cultural heritage and equally committed, through music, to the fight against color, race, sex and religion discrimination.
The name, The dangeroots, means the Dangerous Roots, but also the Roots in danger; from here the musical proposal of the band starts, that is, from the claim of its own roots but also from the denunciation of the difficulties, in our time, to respect our roots like those of all peoples. The artistic goal of the band is to propose a new songwriting, where the influences of the music of the world are contextualized, where there is a particular attention to the texts, concrete, that speak of the reality that we are living, a music that has social value , which increases awareness of community needs. And on the need for unity in facing the dangers and barriers (malfeasance, dishonesty, bad politics, mafia) that threaten the harmonious and sustainable development of the Territory. The Dangeroots want to be transmitting antennas of values that continue over time and exceed generations, those values that allow us to feel rooted, respectful of the Mother Earth House and of those who live there.
The band was born in 2015, from the meeting of musicians gathered by Treble Petrachi Antonio, aka Treble Lu Professore, on the occasion of the recording of his album TerraMia, participating in his live performance in the promotional tour.
They have participated in important musical festivals, both in the national reggae scene and in the songwriting, being distinguished by the powerful and quality sound, centered on the Roots Reggae, with elegant rocksteady and funk attitudes.
From 2018 a very young African voice was added, Cham Lowe Chala Dz from the Gambia, which, with its patwa, introduces international sounds.
In July 2019 The Dangeroots won the Band contest of the BABABOOM festival 2019, one of the most important Italian reggae music festivals.
