The Silvered were born in March 2007 in Lecce (Italy) from an idea of the singer Daniele Rini (from 2014 voice of Ghost of Mary). The name derives from the silver key of the dream world created by H.P. Lovecraft, the lyrics are inspired by literature, by visions and nightmares. The music is very eclectic: melodic death (with weaving of growling, screaming and clean vocals, progressive structures and gothic settings) in the wake of Opeth and Amorphis, with a marked use of unplugged atmospheres (acoustic guitars and piano). The band has received many positive consents over the years, also thanks to the lively live activity carried out, with hundreds of shows behind it, both in electric and acoustic, divided into several promotional tours around Italy.
The Silvered have released -Music for your Sleepless Nights- (mini cd, 2007), -The Unplugged Night LIVE- (recorded live on May 3, 2008), -Dying Light- (promo cd, 2008), the unreleased track -Another Leaf Comes Down - Acoustic Reprise- within the -Imago Sound Creative Compilation Vol.1- (2009) and -Grave of Deception- (cd, 2012). They are also present in -WorlDEMOns 2009- with the track -Helpless Soul- and within the cd -Hardsounds Compilation Vol. 2- (2012) with -Winter’s Caress-.
On December 21st 2012 the first album entitled -Grave of Deception- was released officially, based on the horror / fantasy story -The story of Brian Empty- written by Daniele Rini, a concept on the incapacity to accept reality as it is perceived, a inner conflict described by a surreal journey between alienation in the real world and the darkness of the dream dimension. The songs contain the whole repertoire of the band, illuminating the various facets, from the metal side to the most intimate and acoustic moments. The work was recorded between Lecce (Sudestudio) and Rome (Outer Sound Studios), mixed by Giuseppe Orlando (The Foreshadowing, Novembre, Stormlord, Klimt 1918) and mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland (Sentenced, Amorphis, Children Of Bodom, HIM, Apocalyptica), the artwork was made by Machine Room (My Dying Bride, Dope Stars Inc.). With the debut album - Grave of Deception - the official video clips of -The Silent Moan and Sad Eyed Liar- were also made.
In 2011 the brothers Giuseppe and Carlo Ferilli, respectively guitarist and drummer (since 2016 on tour with November), joined the band, with which the style of Silvered has changed gradually towards more obscure sounds and doom death, without neglecting that unmistakable brand that has always characterized the name -Silvered-, made of melody and sound power. Guitarist Lorenzo Valentino (Last Resistance, Ghost of Mary) has also joined the band since 2015. In the same year the long work of composition and pre-production of the new album -Six Hours- began, officially recorded between 2017 and 2018. It is an ambitious and challenging concept centered on a powerful and obscure sound thanks to the compositions of the Ferilli brothers and with texts that take direct inspiration from the academic studies carried out by Daniele Rini on the phenomenon of witchcraft.
