The workshop aims to promote and improve the development of skills and abilities already present in those who want to approach art. The aims are that each of the participants will be able to:
- Square the sheet and make a correct framing of the drawing to be made;
- Carry out the drawing with greater certainty, highlighting the contours with a continuous and simple line;
- Execute the chiaroscuro with technical dexterity, knowing the different gradations of tone, in relation to light and shadow, black, primary colors, secondary colors and tertiary colors;
- Use the "Dialing Method" to copy any image, or a work of art, applying to it the effects of chiaroscuro with watercolor pencil pastels or pencil;
- Watercolor and represent various subjects (such as seascapes, comics) with watercolors, knowing the various methods of application on the sheet;
- Paint with tempera having correctly experimented and mixed the primary colors, the secondary ones and their combinations, to obtain the different gradations of tone.
Biography:
Paola Rizzo graduated in 1997 from the Academy of Fine Arts of Lecce with a thesis on artistic anatomy on the face. Very talented with the pencil, in the chiaroscuro, her talent seems to express herself at best in the technique of oil painting. Constant of his work: the olive tree, the plant that par excellence represents the environment, the nature of the land of Salento. There seems to be now an almost ancestral dependence between Paola and this tree considered - sacred - by our ancestors, in the same way as a tutelary deity of the place.
Over the years he continues to devote himself body and soul to art, becoming part of his world the love for photography and music. It is through music, which is an adhesive for artists, that he begins to frequent musical environments by knowing some of his favorite musicians, so shot after shot stops their expressions and their soul which is then imprinted on the decisive lines of his sign. This is how -Grafite è Musica- a traveling exhibition of pencil portraits of the faces of musicians of national and international fame.
The artistic experience as a painter and portraitist was the common thread with artistic make-up, cinematographic make-up, special effects and body painting.
