Paola Rizzo - Established painter, with more than 20 years of experience.
Graduated in 1997 at the Academy of Fine Arts of Lecce with a thesis on artistic anatomy on the Face, physical and psychological aspect.
Still lifes, sea views, bucolic landscapes, religious subjects, scenes of daily life, portraits of human or fantastic faces, were the subjects of his first artistic production.
Immediately after his academic studies he met a subject that has become the constant of his work: the olive tree. The olive tree is the tree that par excellence represents the environment, the nature of our land, that of Salento. There seems to be an almost ancestral dependence between her and this tree considered - sacred - by our ancestors, in the same way as a tutelary deity of the place. The technique he prefers in the representation of the olive is that of oil on canvas. A lover of details, he has also experimented with other techniques. So that the artistic production of olive trees uses not only large canvases, but also a series of graphics executed with the technique of Indian ink on paper and some with the technique of chiaroscuro in pencil.
At the same time, love for photography and music became part of his world, the latter becoming a primary source of inspiration. He loves painting and drawing with music. Not as a soundtrack, which also never fails in his art studio, but as a movement of the soul-artist. Music, an adhesive for artists, leads her to attend musical environments, knowing some of her favorite musicians. Thus, shot after shot stops their expressions and their soul through photography. Soul imprinted in the decisive strokes of his pencil and graphite powder stroke. Born-Graphite is Music - a traveling exhibition of portraits of musicians of national and international fame, performed with the technique of chiaroscuro in pencil. Portraits include Caparezza, Terron Fabio, Roy Paci, Raffaele Casarano, Claudio Prima, Gaetano Carrozzo, Roshaun Bay-c Clark (TOK), Cesare Dell'Anna, Giancarlo Dell'Anna, Eneri, Carmine Tundo (La municipal), Ludovico Einaudi, Marco Ancona, Giuliano Sangiorgi (Negramaro), Luca Aquino, Uccio Aloisi, Greta Panettieri, Nandu Popu, Mannarino.

Levèra: an etymology that means to raise, to lift, to support, to pry, to blow . A strong wind rises and blows from the suburbs. A wind of inclusion, of rebirth, of possibility, of trust.
