Diritti al Coding

Circolo Levèra

Coding rights. Event organized by Levèra, in via Bellini 24 in Galatina. 5:30 pm

Coding is an English term that corresponds to the word programming in Italian.
We speak of computer programming obviously but not in the most traditional sense of the expression.
Coding is a discovery - if we can define it this way - recently.
We are talking about an approach that puts programming at the center of a path where learning, starting from the first years of life, travels along new paths and is at the center of a wider project that breaks down the barriers of information technology, stimulates an approach devoted to solving problems.
Let's talk about computational thinking, or an unprecedented approach to solving problems.
With coding, children and adolescents develop computational thinking, the ability to solve more or less complex problems.
They do not only learn to program but they plan to learn.
For this project we were inspired by the charter of children's rights, hence the name RIGHTS to coding.
The aim is to provide our young students with the basics of programming and help them develop a greater familiarity with computational thinking through single-issue sessions that will focus on the most significant articles of the charter of children's rights.
We are waiting for you every Tuesday in Levèra, via Bellini 24 - Noha.

N.B. Priority will be given to enrollments for children with personal computers (no tablets).

Participation requires that at least one of the parents own or sign the Arci 2019/20 card at a cost of 5 euros.
Contribution: 5 euros for each appointment or 25 euros for all eight days.

Levèra: an etymology that means to raise, to lift, to support, to pry, to blow . A strong wind rises and blows from the suburbs. A wind of inclusion, of rebirth, of possibility, of trust.
