Contorni

Circolo Levèra

Levèra organizes presentation of the album by Federica Palma, songwriter and musician, with Marcello Zappatore, entitled CONTORNI. Via Bellini 24, Noha (Galatina). 9.30 pm

CONTORNI's passages are stages of life that follow one another, from birth to rebirth. Each of the instruments on the disc has a metaphorical value, in which the narrative voice of the story is the piano, the strings represent emotions and mood swings, the harp brings back to the forgotten consciousness of some previous life, the battery is the heart that incites at rebirth, the guitar represents the advice of those who love us, and finally the sax is the opening towards something new.

Federica Palma, an eclectic artist with unquestionable vocal skills, mixes sounds and arrangements with an international breath in her songs, with Italian-language texts with suggestive, poetic and engaging tones. His album CONTORNI is a journey into the self, an album that can be browsed like a book, page after
page.

Federica Palma began writing songs in 2009. She intervenes with her own songs in various cultural events promoted by local associations, aimed at the enhancement of different art forms, such as painting, cinema and literature, and in various songwriting reviews, highlighting the strongly intimate cut of his texts. The journalist Paolo Rausa on Italia Express said -Federica Palma with her hissing voice shakes our existential certainties-.

The purpose of Federica Palma's songs is to bring the listener into a dimension of deep listening. In this process, the issues of dream, hope, and acceptance of oneself are particularly important.

CONTORNI released on September 5, 2019, is the first album that collects songs written and composed by Federica Palma, and is produced and arranged by guitarist Marcello Zappatore.

Levèra: an etymology that means to raise, to lift, to support, to pry, to blow . A strong wind rises and blows from the suburbs. A wind of inclusion, of rebirth, of possibility, of trust.
