Original composer, singer and guitarist of the Democratic Republic of the Congo with the citizenship of São Tomé, the artist has consolidated his plural and ferocious sound not only in his two lands, but also in transit through Gabon, South Africa, Indonesia, Cape Verde and Brazil.
His music is characterized by a sparkling and ancient voice that blends and intertwines with the melodic and rhythmic diversity of contemporary Africa.
Among many other things, he performed at the Sesc Dance Biennial, at the Musiques D'Afrique Festival, at the Virada Cultural. In 2017 he participated in the Sofar festival of Amnesty International, in 2018 he was in Ceará for the String Festival Ágio in Cariri and in Brasilia for the International Republic Blues Festival.
In addition to his shows at festivals, Yannick Delass has performed in different formats on the Sesc circuit, as well as performing at Jazz in the Backgrounds, the Olido cultural center, the Casa Francisca, the Mario de Andrade library, the youth cultural center and others .
