How many stories in a box

Biblioteca Pietro Siciliani

The Tin Box organizes HOW MANY STORIES IN A BOX, a photographic, poetic, civic journey through the places, the stories and the beautiful people of the south encountered since 2014. P. Siciliani Library, Piazza Alighieri, Galatina. 18:00

We at La Scatola di Latta are increasingly convinced that beauty and wealth resides in small things, in the twinkle of the eyes of "ordinary" people, in the folds of artisan and peasant hands, in the smiles of the elderly and children, in the verses unpublished poets of the suburbs and in the sounds and memories of simple and out of commerce places.

If the walks are for walkers, how many stories in a box will be an opportunity to spend time together and travel with your feet on the ground.

During the evening you can participate in the creation of an emotional Abecedario of the mother places [cit. Elisabetta Donno]

We wait for you at 18.00 at the historic and precious location of the Popular University Aldo Vallone Galatina in the Palazzo della Cultura Zeffirino Rizzelli, Piazza Alighieri 51, Galatina LE.

Aldo Vallone (Galatina, 1916-2002) Teacher and then principal in schools; supervisor of studies and ministerial inspector; professor of Italian literature at the University of Lecce since 1956, of Bari since 1967 and finally at the University of Naples since 1972

Bring paper and pen and stories to tell and keep in The Tin Box

We invite participants to contribute to the next projects of the box (At school to stay, civic cultural reviews, archive of memory and innovation, box library, publications, etc.) by donating money, enthusiasm, books, letters, postcards, thoughts, signaling people and places precious "to know and keep" in the box.
