The Municipal Administration celebrates Republic Day with the delivery of the Italian Constitution to girls and boys who are 18 years old in the year 2019.
For the occasion, in addition to the ceremony, which will take place on Sunday at 9.30am in the Dominican Cloister in Piazza Alighieri, there will be a debate on the history and contents of the same Constitution, which will be attended by Senator Prof. Giorgio de Giuseppe, the Attorney of the Republic Dr. Antonio De Donno and the journalist of the Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno Dr. Antonio Liguori. The mayor Marcello Amante and the deputy mayor, Maria Giaccari, will speak for an institutional greeting.
-The Republic Day - says Mayor Marcello Amante - is a symbol of democracy and our community; the appointment on Sunday will be a message addressed to the youngest, who will receive the sacred gift of the Constitution and to all our citizens who identify themselves in these great and inviolable values-.
- Together with the speakers, the boys will be the real protagonists of the next Sunday party - adds the deputy mayor and youth policy commissioner, Maria Giaccari - Receiving our Constitution must be an incentive for them to learn about the history and work done by the Constituent fathers. Only in this way, current and future generations will be able to grow with healthy principles and genuine ideas.
