The historic video of Fabrizio De André's concert with PFM, recently rediscovered after being kept for over 40 years by the director Piero Frattari who took part in the filming, will become a documentary directed by Walter Veltroni, made by Except, dedicated precisely to that unforgettable page in the history of Italian music.
The restored video of the concert will become the focus of the documentary film; the images will be told by the protagonists of that extraordinary adventure - Dori Ghezzi, Franz Di Cioccio, Patrick Djivas, Franco Mussida, Flavio Premoli, David Riondino, Piero Frattari, Guido Harari - who will evoke the atmosphere of that day, the emotions experienced, behind the scenes and the magic of an experience never replicated.
Only in 1975 Fabrizio De André decided to perform in public, in clubs and sports halls, performing his repertoire almost and exclusively in the original version. In 1978 PFM convinced him to take a tour together along the whole boot and to arrange his songs in a rock key. A unique artistic union in history, a bond born at the time of the studio recording of the album -The good news-, a friendship that brings Fabrizio and PFM to meet again over time, as on the occasion of a summer concert of the band in Nuoro just in August 1978.
So it was that De André returned to his city for that concert that remained in everyone's heart and that changed the history of Italian music forever. -Fabrizio De André and PFM.
